JEWISH HOLIDAYS

Chanukah, the Festival of Lights, is an eight-days Jewish holiday which begins on the 25th day of the month of Kislev. It commemorates the victory of the Maccabees and the rededication of the Jerusalem Temple. It also commemorates the miracle of the oil that burned for 8 days. During eight days, we light candles for Channukah.

Rosh Hashanah, the New Year, and Yom Kippur, the day of atonement, are two very important holidays in the Jewish calendar.
